History of Griesser AG
The history of Griesser began in 1882 in Aadorf. Anton Griesser bought a mill-building workshop there and set up his own business together with his wife, Marie Meier.
In 1920, Griesser opened a sales and installation business in Zurich. Further Swiss branches followed in Basel, Lausanne, Bern and Geneva.
In 1924, a subsidiary with its own factory was founded in Camerlata-Como, Italy.
This was followed in 1928 by a company with a factory in Carros, France.
In 1949, Griesser began production of the patented Solomatic external venetian blind.
Today, Griesser manufactures at its own plants in Switzerland (Aadorf), France (Carros) and Austria (Nenzing).
The head office remains in Aadorf.
