Sliding shutters slide sideways on tracks along the façade and are perfect for large glass surfaces. Wing shutters open sideways in the classic manner, which is ideal for traditional buildings and those classified as historical monuments.

Sliding shutters are façade or window elements that slide sideways in front of the glass surface, providing protection from prying eyes, sunlight and bad weather. Unlike classic hinged shutters, they do not open but slide along tracks on the façade. They thus provide elegant shading for large windows without compromising brightness or architecture. They are typical of modern buildings with clean lines, balconies or loggias, and can be single or multi-track, manual or motorised, depending on the model. Griesser offers different slat and infill options (e.g. aluminium, wood or perforated sheet metal) to optimally adapt the design and function to the building.

The “Vento” sliding shutter model has been specially designed for installations exposed to wind (e.g. loggias, balconies, pergolas): large format, customised design and suitable for situations with high wind loads.

Pantograph shutters are systems with horizontally adjustable panels: they “fold” when opened and are particularly suitable for large glass surfaces. The panels follow the path of the sun and create shadow and light effects. They are particularly suitable for large glass surfaces and façades where variable light control and a sophisticated architectural appearance are desired.

Sliding bi-fold shutters combine folding and sliding functions: several panels on each side (up to six, for example) are positioned perpendicular to the façade when opened and close flush when closed. They take up little space when open.

Thanks to the powder-coated aluminium profiles and high-quality hardware, maintenance is minimal. Simply clean the guides and castors occasionally.
